New Clients

Starting the Bonding Process

If you are a new client, we recommend contacting us first to begin the bonding process. The requirements for obtaining a bond can vary based on factors such as bond type, contract amount, and other specific conditions, which may require different forms and procedures. Our priority is to help guide you through the necessary steps efficiently, reducing any delays.

If we have requested documentation to set up a bond line with the surety, the following documents will typically be required:

Application for the Surety

  • Completed Contractor Questionnaire
  • Business financial statements — a copy of the last three fiscal year-end statements (plus an interim statement if your last year-end is over 6 months ago)
  • Current Personal Financial Statement for all owners
  • Most recent year-end statement of each affiliate, parent, and/or subsidiary
  • Work-In-Progress report listing all current work
  • Resumes of officers and key personnel
  • Reference letters from prior owners and/or general contractors you have worked for
  • Current insurance certificate
  • Bank reference letter outlining current and average balances on demand accounts and line of credit information
  • Copy of the Articles of Incorporation and/or Assumed Name Certificate
